Using this 3D scan model, we were able to create a new 3.5” (89mm) cast J-pipe with nice, smooth routing. Most aftermarket J-pipes on the market are made from mandrel-bent 3” pipes that have been cut and welded in multiple places to achieve the J-shape. The OE J-pipe is 3.3” (85mm) so it is clear that a 3” version is not ideal in terms of airflow, which was also confirmed in our Superflow flow dyno.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eOur final design is a super durable 3.5” (89mm) cast J-pipe that improves airflow. It has a free form, equal diameter down to the throttle body, which is “impossible” to achieve with a mandrel bent pipe. A more durable silicone hose is also included, along with matte black hose clamps for a clean, unobtrusive look.
